You don’t have to take first place to earn awards from your first 5K. Even if you race for years and never come in first, there are five great awards that everyone collects just for putting themselves out there. Whether you finish first, twenty-first or dead last, these are five things that make all the work with in home personal trainers in NYC worth the sweat.
Award #1: A Runner’s Legs
If you aren’t already a leg-gazer when a runner pounds pavement in your direction, you should be. Next time you see someone out for a run notice how thin, well-toned, and perfectly tanned their legs are. If they are a serious runner, their legs will make you want to put down the cheeseburger and fall in line right behind them.
Running tones your calves, glutes and thighs like few other exercises can. When working with personal trainers in NYC to run a 5K, those with thunder thighs are able to achieve slim thighs they want to show off and those with virtually no butt find their rear ends lifted and firmed.
Award #2: Enviable Abs
Pair the amazing legs that your in home personal trainers in NYC can help you achieve with abs that others envy and you see the body of your dreams starting to take shape. While training for your 5K you will go out on runs that burn a lot of calories and then perform cross training activities that burn even more calories.
Our personal trainers in NYC will help you compliment your runs with the right type of strength training so you develop awesome abs in a reasonable amount of time. While running alone naturally tones and strengthens the legs, you do need to add in the cross training and strength training to get that flat tummy or rock hard abs.
Award #3: A Giver’s Pride
5K races are held in honor of charity. There are hundreds of different races held across the country every single year and every one of them benefits a different charity. When you pay to enter the race and show up on the big day you get so much more than the body of your dreams. You get the pride and warm feelings that come with helping others.
If giving to others is important to you, look around at the races held in your area or areas you may want to travel to. Find something that you want to support and make giving an essential part of your new healthy lifestyle.
Award #4: New Friendships
Even if you work with our in home personal trainers in NYC to prepare for your 5K, you can guarantee you will meet a lot of great people when you get out there for the race. If you think having healthy-minded people around you may work to your benefit in the long run, look around your area for running clubs or other organizations.
Award #5: Routine of Success
All you have to do is set your mind to completing one 5K. That is typically enough to get you pumped to run your second 5K and maybe even a 10K, half marathon, or marathon in the future. It may seem unlikely right now, but running can be very addicting. It will definitely give you a new routine that leads to great success in this area of your life.

Simple Ways to Weight Loss, Get Healthy & Find the Right Personal Trainer in NYC
Does getting in shape and living healthfully seem impossible? Is it out of reach for you?
It doesn’t have to be that way. Fitness can be simple.
Let’s break it down into 29 simple strategies that lead to great health and a rewarding life
- Instantly eat less at every meal by switching to smaller sized plates. You will feel satisfied mentally since your plate is full but you won’t eat as many calories.
- Join forces with our personal trainers in NYC and make sure to do something active every day. Connect with others trying to get healthy as well, so you have a network of support.
- Have a long term goal that you want to reach. You have to know where you are headed before you can get there.
- Allow our in-home personal trainers in NYC to believe in you, then believe in yourself as well.
- Allow our personal trainers in NYC to pump up your workouts so you do more than just pass the time. Make every workout as effective and productive as possible.
- Drink. Drink. Drink. Water is your daily companion.
- Reach out for help when you need it.
- Learn high intensity interval training from our in-home personal trainers in NYC. They will help you burn more fat in a shorter amount of time.
- Speed up the metabolism so you burn more fat and feel more energetic…just eat a small, healthy meal or snack every three hours.
- How bad do you want to get healthy? Ditch willpower and focus on the desire to get to that final goal.
- Processed foods are now forbidden. They are filled with everything your body doesn’t need to be fit and healthy.
- Get rid of high fat foods that are rich in calories and substitute with lean protein, whole grains, and leafy vegetables that are rich in vitamins and minerals.
- Look at all “health” or “diet” foods with a healthy dose of skepticism. Read the labels and make educated decisions.
- Talk produces no results, but action delivers your goals. Stop talking. Start acting.
- Push your limits by working out with others far beyond your level of physical fitness. Allow them to motivate and inspire you to push harder.
- Take those negative thoughts and turn them around into positives.
- Never take your calories in liquid form.
- Make sure you are aware of every morsel that crosses your lips. NO mindless eating.
- Meet with our personal trainers in NYC at least two – three times every week. Consistency rules.
- Expect very high results and actions from yourself.
- High fructose corn syrup must be eliminated from your diet. It causes your body to store fat rather than burning it.
- Take in lots of fresh vegetables and whole grains so you get the fiber and antioxidants your body needs to lose weight effectively.
- Increase the burn of actual fat stores during cardio workouts by doing strength training first. Strength training burns up the sugars so you are ready to burn fat for the cardio session.
- Balance the fats, carbs and proteins in your breakfast to wake up your metabolism.
- You know you deserve better, so create better for yourself.
- Make every workout challenging. If you don’t know how, hire our in-home personal trainers in NYC for ideas.
- Track your progress toward very specific goals that can be measured easily.
- Consume only whole grains, but use them sparingly since they convert to fat easily.
- Stop struggling and lean on our personal trainers in NYC for motivation and proven results.
Put this list somewhere it will be seen every single day. Read and reread.
Not So Sweet
You have to get away from sugary foods if you want to lose weight. Sugar causes your insulin levels to spike and that in turn leads to storing calories as fat. Look for lower calorie, completely natural alternatives like Stevia.

Hiring personal trainers and starting to get your life back on a healthy track is a great thing. Those who attend regular personal training sessions not only have an easier time losing excess weight, but they gain an enormous amount of energy and tend to feel better about themselves as well.
Yet, there is such thing as going too far. It’s a great thing to be a gym rat who loves personal training, but your health could be jeopardized if you cross the line into gym nut. Similarly, watching your calories and switching to nutrient-dense foods is excellent for your health, but not eating enough or being too restrictive could present health risks.
So, how do you know when you are venturing too close to that line separating healthy from obnoxious and unhealthy? For starters, your personal trainers will tell you when you are pushing it too far. There are some personal trainers that just want their money from the sessions so they may not say much, but for the most part trainers want you to be a healthy reflection of what their services can accomplish so they will let you know if they are concerned.
Another way to determine if you have taken personal training and healthy eating to the extreme is to ask yourself if it is interfering with other aspects of your daily life. If you are determined to reach your goals so you make sure never to miss a session with your personal trainers that is one thing, but if you have stopped going out with friends entirely because you are living at the gym you may have a problem.
Personal training should enhance your life so you do more with your friends and have even more fun. It should never take your interest away from other activities you enjoy.
If you are feeling drained and without energy even though you are seeing great personal trainers, you might be pushing it too hard. Personal training should rev up your metabolism and give you tons of energy. As the weight comes off you should feel healthier and healthier. If the opposite is happening, you are likely doing too much.
You would assume that others in your life would tell you when they are concerned with your health, but you can’t always trust people who love you. If it has been many years since they have seen you at a healthy weight or if they have always known you as an overweight person, they may think you look too thin when you are at a completely reasonable weight. This is because they are used to looking at you as a much larger person.
Some people may also feel you look too thin if they are overweight themselves. It might be a hint of jealousy trying to bring you down, but in most cases they just don’t realize what a healthy weight looks like on you.
Remember you should feel alive and vivacious after starting personal training. As the weight comes off you should feel better and have more energy. If this doesn’t happen then discuss this with your personal trainers. Make sure you aren’t pushing too hard or working out too many days.
If you are working out on your own and are feeling worse rather than better, then it’s time to seek out personal training so a professional can design your workout program and instruct you on how hard to push and when to take a break.
